Community Awareness Day – 30th November 2018

Upper Springfield Development Trust’s Youth Team has partnered up with Glor Na Mona and Newhill Youth Club to organise a local Community Awareness Day at the top of the Whiterock Road, on Friday 30th November.

Mick McAllister from Upper Springfield Development Trust’s Youth Team, who has helped organise the event, said: “From 8:00am to 6:00pm, staff and local young people from Glor Na Mona, Newhill Youth Club and the Youth Team will man information stalls full of useful material for local residents. There will be information on local services in the area and from 8:00am – 10:00am you will be able to pick up a free breakfast of tea/coffee, pastries and fruit.”

“This event ties in with Homelessness Awareness Week so we will also be having a collection for local Christmas appeals. So come along to the top of the Whiterock Road on Friday 30th November and donate what you can to help us support vulnerable people in our community this Christmas.”
