Family fun day is a great success!
Large numbers arrived at Whiterock Community Centre on Saturday 8th August for Upper Springfield Integrated Partership’s family fun and community health day.
The event was on between 1 pm and 6 pm-although Deidre and Caroline from USWIP have been planning far in advance!
All paid off with something for all ages.
Children could enjoy the bouncy castle and various inflated activities such as slides, face painting, go karting and art activities.
Free fruit, water and a bbq was on offer with many advice and health stalls providing information in the community centre hall.
Free therapies such as reflexology and massage were available and FASA drug and alcohol awareness-providing amusing education on the consequences of too much alcohol by trying to kick a tennis ball with ‘beer’ goggles on.
